Help Your Children Figure Out Who They Really Are

“Who am I?” It’s the question teens constantly ask themselves. You can help them find the answer by encouraging them to participate in a wide range of high school activities, from sports and debate to music and theater.

Research confirms students who participate in activities programs have higher levels of self-esteem.

As they are free to experiment and explore their interests in a safe setting, high school students discover where their talents lie and learn more about who they are and what they like.

So encourage your teens to participate in a variety of high school activities. Then their question will no longer be “Who am I?” but “Where do I go from here?”

You’ve seen and heard what others have to say. Now… what do YOU like most about participating in high school sports and performing arts? Would you recommend playing high school sports to kids in middle school? If so, why?
